Golf
When the weather is wet and cold back home and you fancy a long weekend away, just to play some great courses in a wonderful climate and recharge your batteries, then this is the place to be! It may be that you are a couple and only one of you loves golf...if so, the non golfer can relax by our lovely pool, walk the paseo to La Cala, or maybe explore the wonderful town of Marbella, and if you have the odd million to spare, you can always go to Puerto Banus and join the yacht set!
Andalucia boasts more than 100 golf courses, 10 of them within 10 kms of Calahonda. Rather than show them all here, it would be prudent to provide a list of those within a 15 minute drive of Calahonda.
Top of the pile is Santana, set inside a beautiful avacodo plantation, also has a great little restaurant. Calanova is also high on my list, best golf shop on the Costa (occupies 2 floors!)

Abas the owner is a professional club fitter who also sells second hand clubs as well as new ones...one of the few around here to do so. They also provide a wonderful service in tailored trousers/shorts/skirts etc...you choose from a wide range of materials and they are made to measure to your own design, the value is excellent. You can have embroidered details that really make you stand out on the course, and they keep your measurements for the next time you go back....and you will go back! Lovely people, very friendly and helpful...the sort of place you want to succeed.
